The recent re-arrest of the convener of the #RevolutionNow campaign, Omoyele Sowore last Friday has further proven above all indications that the President Buhari-led government is not ready to release the pro-democracy activist anytime soon. 

 The Ondo state born human right activist was a major instrument in the June 12 election protest and staging a revolution protest against president buhari who has once experience an overthrown of his government during the 1985 military coup is not the best from a die-hard political fighter, who has been in the fore-front of Nigeria politics since his university days.

A reliable source claims that what triggered the re-arrest of Mr Sowore was that he went against the DSS order that he should not grant any interview in which he granted at the court premises. The source said “Mr Sowore is a strong pro-democracy activist who happens to be a presidential candidate in the just concluded presidential general election.

It would be recalled that several candidates contested for the presidential seat but were defeated by Muhammdu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who polled 15,191,847 votes while his main contender, Atiku Abubabakar of the Peoples Democratic Party got 11,264,977 votes to come second.

However, Embattled Mr Omoyele Sowore, came fifth with 33,953 votes ahead of other newbies to the race like Kingsley Moghalu of the Young Democratic Party, YPP, who gathered 21,886 votes and Fela Durotoye of the Alliance for New Nigeria, ANN, who polled 16,779. He said no government will take such a prominent political fighter with a mere hands and Like the Yoruba adage says “Oju ni Alakan(Crab) fi sho ori” . He Said.
