Following his admission to the homicide of Tshegofatso Pule, a man who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence has revealed that he was paid a staggering R70,000 to carry out the homicide.
The man claims that Tshegofatso's sweetheart, who was also the father of her unborn child, contacted him since they had been friends in high school and used to party together.
He claims that as he was brought closer by Tshegofatso's sweetheart, he was originally offered R7 000 to carry out the homicide, but that after a few exchanges, the payment was raised to R20 000, and then they finally settled on R70 000.
The individual further says that the killing should be carried out in the manner of self-destruction. He was advised to hang Tshegofatso's body to make it look like self-destruction.
Regardless, this arrangement did not work out, resulting in Tshegofatso being shot and then imprisoned in a tree.
The delicate man is nevertheless expected to provide more nuanced responses.
