According to report, the Lagos State Police Command has made a U-turn on its stance concerning the planned protest in commemoration of the first anniversary of last year's EndSARS demonstrations. While addressing journalists, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police disclosed that the police only want the organisers of such protests to work together and have a meeting point.

As the Lagos State Police Command approves the protest, protesters are expected to take the two precautionary measures below;

1. The protesters must have a uniform means of identification.

This will enable the police to spot unscrupulous elements who might try to hijack the protest. Recall that the #EndSARS/demonstrations last year was reportedly hijacked by criminals who used the medium to loot valuables items from people's shop.

While a letter has been sent to the Inspector General of Police from the Falana Chambers demanding protection for the organisers of the protest, the protesters must also do well to appear in wears that will enable the police to distinguish them.

2. The protesters must as well avoid blocking roads.

Apart from the commercial transactions that will be impeded due to road blockage, people in emergency situations will be affected with such restricted movement. Just as advised by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, the #EndSARS memorial protesters should avoid interfering with the free flow of traffic.
