Kenya Kwanza coalition party is banking on the ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and the Ford Kenya chairman Moses Masika Wetangula to influence at least 70% of Western Region votes come August 9th. However, Kenya Kwanza ambitions might start dwindling following the low turnout at one of their rallies in Lugari, which was under the command of Musalia Mudavadi.
Pictures and videos shared online depict a low turnout. Netizens have expressed varied opinions on the seemingly low turnout, some saying that a larger portion of the western region is Azimio’s backyard and that Musalia and Wetangula’s pledge of influencing over 70% of western votes is but a dream. The rally was at a Lumakanda ward in Lugari constituency, which is a small location, and perhaps using it as a sample space for the massive western region may not be fair.
Boni Khalwale took to his gratitudes to a resident of Lumakanda to his Twitter handle, and that is where Kenyans got a glimpse of what happened and did not hesitate to throw in their comment. What are your thoughts on this? Can Mudavadi and Wetangula command western voters to Kenya Kwanza? Below are screenshots of what Kenyans said.
