Captain Smart: the contractor of this bridge is gone; the policy is to deceive Ghanaians for vote

It appears the suspended morning show host of Angel Fm is determined to expose the "iniquities" of government, with the aim of demanding better leadership and accountability to the citizenry. Since his suspension from Angel Fm, Captain Smart has been using his newly established Smart TV and social media platforms to express his views freely without fear of victimisation

One of his latest post on Facebook features a bridge at Tanoso Apatrapa(a town located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana) which collapsed about two(2) years ago.

According to the outspoken radio broadcaster, the contract for reconstruction of the bridge was awarded to a contractor in September 2020; three months away from the 2020 general elections.

Surprisingly, the contractor has packed his equipments and fled from the site after the December polls of which President Akufo-Addo was re-elected as the president of Ghana.

In the heat of the 2020 electioneering campaign, many Ghanaians including the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) noted with concern the uniquitous nature at which President Akufo-Addo and his vice were cutting sod for construction of projects across the country. A section of the public equated that to vote buying gimmicks while being skeptical about the possibility of these projects seeing the light of day timeously.

Obviously, Captain Smart shares this option as he wrote: "I know that the contractor will come on site 5 September 20204 because the policy has always been let's deceive Ghanaians for votes".
