You want to lead but do not want to be criticised - Johnny Hughes Hit Politicians Hard


Media personality, Johnny Hughes has hit hard on political leaders in Ghana. The renowned journalist took a swipe at some of the some politicians in the country Kwame A Plus was attacked verbally. He made this comment this morning, Wednesday 21st April, 2021, on TV3's morning show Newday.

He said Kwame A Plus has been at the receiving end of a barrage of attacks by his own party faithfuls for criticising the government. He is of the view that leaders should welcome criticisms. "you want to lead but do not want your followers to criticise you".

On the current power outages, Johnny Hughes said the Government was running away from Dumsor but they have published a timetable now." We seem to be paying more taxes and tariffs but the electricity is less. The signs were clear for us to see but they saying this was different".

" There was a wind of change in 2016 but what has changed now? We are still experiencing the those problems if not worse".

Kwame Nkrumah University of Science Technology history Lecturer, Dr Samuel Adu Gyamfi buttressed Johnny Hughes' point. He said that, looking at how things are going, this country is not heading in the right direction.

Adib Sani, another panelist claimed that our leaders should adopt innovative ways especially in revenue mobilisation to able to solve some of our challenges. "You either innovate or die".
