Nana Akua Addo, a Ghanaian style icon and business visionary, has discussed her career as a fashionista and some of the truths she has come to accept about her work.

Nana Akua said in a meeting with Zionfelix that she feels valued whenever she is referred to as a "destroy sovereign."

Being a kill sovereign in her practice, according to Nana Akua Addo, does not make the term slanderous to her because it is linked to the job she does.

She did add, however, that while the word had acquired a negative connotation that many women would find offensive, it was fine with her to be branded with such a moniker.

"People wanted the choice to do whatever made them feel better, and furthermore, people operated by their own methods, so marking them with specific names was not the best way," she said about the kill sovereign tag.

She revealed in the meeting that all of the outfits she wears to events usually have their own social significance and notable base, and as a result, she has graced a number of international red carpets, including those attended by media organizations such as the BBC and CNN.

She also mentioned that the BBC and CNN had featured her on their websites, giving her image, industry, and Ghana in general more exposure.
