There are so many bad things that we do as we are growing up without knowing that we are going to suffer the consequences later. Some of those things are influenced by our friends. Being a youth is one of the most mind-blowing stages of life because that’s where you get the freedom to do things that you would never get to do under your parent’s watch. Today’s world needs responsible youth, especially when it comes to sex and relationships. People are sick of it and will do anything to get money. As youth, we have to learn to take care of ourselves because some of the decisions we make now will affect us for the rest of our lives. We have to be aware of the people around us because peer pressure is one of the future killing weapons.

There is a heartbreaking story of a man who used to do bad things out there back when he was still young. He wrote it to warn other people to be aware of the decisions they take because the world is dark out there. In his story, he said he saw in 2006 when he was working at a funeral parlour in Hamanskraal. As a young man, he used to do stupid things like sleep around with different girls, feeling like he was living life at its best. He said that he went to a different tavern every day with his friends, sleeping with different girls.

He Shocked many people when he said there was a time he’d sleep with two girls at a time without even using protection. At that time, they were aware of different sexual transmitted diseases like HIV, but still went on sleeping with different girls every day. Sadly, all his friends passed away due to HIV and Aids.

"I remember one day when one of my friend’s family member called me and told me that my friend passed away because of aids, I was so shocked become I knew the bad things we used to do" He said.

"In those days, sleeping with girls was a hobby for us, but now all my friends have passed away, I am the only one left, and I thank God".

It was sad that he also tested positive, but he is trying so hard to keep up with the medications and warn other people about the danger that is out there. Many people were very shocked by this story. Some even began to call him names for the life he used to live, but what’s done is done. Life has no undo button. The only thing we can do is to take account and be responsible for our mistakes.
