Politicians aligned with Deputy President William Ruto, particularly in Mount Kenya, have found themselves at odds with their supporters as roadside cash promises for young people, women, and traders go unfulfilled.
They include elected officials who have joined the DP's campaign teams, as well as candidates who have been invited to the rallies in order to increase their chances of winning the August election.
And now Deputy President William Ruto has been exposed on how he has been lying to Kenyans with unfilled promises.
DP Ruto is said to have promised youths millions of money whenever he goes to various regions, but at the end of it,no money are given.
It is even reported Kuria East MP Marwa Kitayama had to look himself inside a house for hours, after youths demanded money pledged by DP Ruto.
Among the leaders who have claimed that DP Ruto failed to honour his pledges and had to dig on their pockets to pay DP Ruto's pledges include Thika MP Wainaina and Mary Wamaua.
Isaac Mwaura is also said to have reached out to DP Ruto and took traders to DP Ruto's Karen residence, where the second in command promised to pay some money which he has failed to fulfill.
