Honourable Raila Odinga attended a church service in Kiambu County, where he had been invited by a group of Women whose children had been freedom fighters.
The former Prime Minister spoke at length, about the role of the women in the quest for freedom. He also paid tribute to freedom fighters like Dedan Kimathi who hailed from Kiambu.
In a separate rally in Kibiciku, still in Kiambu County, the Orange Democratic Movement Boss narrated to an excited crowd, how he had been tortured at the Nyayo torture chambers during the reign of former President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi. He stated that he had endured all that so that all Kenyans ,including those from Kiambu, enjoy their Democratic freedom.
Honourable Raila also condemned politicians who incite the masses, and divide Kenyans along tribal lines. He urged Kiambu residents to shun such politicians, and stated that all Kenyans have a right to live in any part of the Country regardless of their tribe and political inclination.
