Timboroa town is a town in Koibatek division of Eldama Ravin sub county in Baringo county.It is located near the border with Uasin Gishu County with the boundary being the most northwesterly point of Timboroa forest near Tindiret forest of Nandi county.

The town lies along the equator line.It is covered by Bamboos grasses as the town is within Timboroa forest.According to Peter Kipkoech Bii,a retired teacher who has written a book on Kalenjin origin, Timboroa is derived from two kalenjin words. 'Tim'- which means forest and 'boroowon'- which means forest of long ropes.

The town is known for livestock keeping and crop farming such as potatoes,peas and maize.The business in this town is doing extremely good as it is situated along Nakuru- Eldoret highway.

Timboroa town is a home to many primary schools with Timboroa Primary School being the oldest school in area.The school was started in the year 1908.Other primary schools include; Nyakio,Matharu,Kamura,Tarigo and Emmanuel Junior among others.There are also several secondary schools.

Timboroa town also is broadcast transmitter sites having various television and Fm radio stations broadcasts from the mountain to the south of Timboroa town.
