Snakes are elongate carnivorous reptiles of the suborder serpents, snakes are recto thermic covered in overlapping scale.
Many of the snakes species have skull with several more joints than their lizard ancestors, something snakes species retain a pelvic girdle who a pair of vestigial claws on either side of the cloacae.
Snakes belongs to the kingdom of Animalia ,phylum Chordata ,class Reptilia ,Order Squamata and Suborder Serpents. These are scientific classification of snakes.
There are more than 4000 species of snakes around the world and some few example are Barbados Threadsnakes ,reticulated Python and the Titanoboa Cerrejonensis .
The good thing about the snakes fraternity is that, most of the snakes are nonvenomous, they don't have poison or venom and those that have venom use it primarily to kill their prey not self defense .
The cobra is the only snake species that built nest for its young , about 70 percent of snakes lay eggs and they are called oviparous.
Snakes are carnivorous, they only eat meat and the two most venomous snakes are cobra and vipers they are very poisonous. Another fact about snakes is that, they can eat other animals bigger than their own size.
