Southampton had not beaten Everton away from home since 1997 so they would have surprised many last weekend when they went 1-0 up against the Toffees. It wasn’t to last though and they eventually lost the game 3-1.
It would have been quite a set back for the Saints who at times struggled in the league last season especially in the second half of it and many believe it was their early season form which it saved them from relegation.
Manchester United were absolutely fantastic in beating Leeds 5-1 last week and they top the league because of goal difference. There seems to be more of an urgency at the club now and they will be looking to stay right up there and challenge for the league title.
United look strong and are full of confidence and they have plenty of attacking options to make this a very difficult game for the home side.
Even though Southampton are at home and will try to enjoy the game there have been talks in the media that they could really struggle this season. The opposite is being said of United and you look at United’s attacking options and they are playing so well that this looks like an away banker.
United are around 1.57 to win the game but we think we can go one better and back the Red Devils on the handicap which gives us much more value
