Murang'a senator Irungu Kang’ata, has broken silence on the leaked audio of deputy president William Ruto Revealing to Kikuyu elders how he Confronted President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017 when the Supreme Court nullified their win.
Senator Kang’ata has likened the incident to that of former United States of American president Donald Trump who threatened to shoot someone but still got votes.
The Murang'a County gubernatorial candidate has vowed that they will still support Ruto no matter what he says or does.
He has further defended the confrontation with a verse arguing that a friend's slap is better than a kiss from an enemy.
"Donald Trump once said he could shoot a man dead on Manhattan Street and still get votes from his supporters. There is nothing WSR can say or do to lose our support." Kang’ata posted on his official social media pages.
