In some cases, students are arrested and taken to court but set free for lack of evidence as has been seen in many schools across the board over the last few weeks.
This afternoon, according to Citizen TV Kenya, seven students from Makindu Boys High School in Makueni County have been taken into custody.
The students from the school are said to have been taken into custody after investigations began this morning after a fire incident at the school last night.

The seven students were arrested as a fire raged down a dormitory in the school leaving hundreds of students without a place to stay.
No student was hurt from the fire that started at around midnight last night but millions of shillings worth of property was destroyed in the inferno.
