Parents admitting their children in Form 1 decried high demands and hiked prices of school necessities.

From day one of the official admission day to date, parents and their children are still reporting to their selected schools.

Besides being required to settle down all the first term fees, parents were also met with exaggerated prices of form one necessities.

Some of the learning items indicated on the learners calling letters for admission had their prices hiked.

“A metal box that last year cost Sh1,200 is now Sh2,500 and you have to include the transport fee which is also doubled,” a parent explained to this desk.

On Wednesday, Police in Machakos team up to sponsor needy secondary school student.

Police conducted fund raising and got Ksh200,000 for Simon Muthama.
