The minister for Trade and Industry, Honourable Kwadwo Alan Kyeremanteng has praised the management of Dzata Cement after he paid courtesy visit to the Tema based factory on 10th May, 2021.
The minister and his entourage were received with rousing welcome by the Managing Director of the Dzata Cement company, Mr Nana Philip Archer and was ushered to have first hand view of the manufacturing plant.
After the inspection, Mr Kyeremanteng made a passionate appeal to all Ghanaians to support the local cement manufacturing industry which is wholly owned by local entrepreneurs. In his own words, the minister said," I am appealing to Ghanaians to support this factory which is a success story of Ghanaian entrepreneurship. It is in line with the vision of the president Akuffo Addo in supporting indigenous entrepreneurs".
The Dzata cement manufacturing plant has an installed capacity to produce 2 million tonnes of cement annually to serve the local market. This will go a long way to help building contractors and the indigenes to build houses with affordable cement owing to its locally manufactured status.
The company management team is entirely Ghanaian with no foreign co-ownership.
