The people of the Cross River North have not witnessed or felt the impact of representation in the 9th Senate ever since Late Senator Rose Oko passed away.
The case between Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe and Stephen Odey has lasted for over 10 months leaving their constituents to wallow in pain and wish the matter could come to an end.
Ever since the Senatorial Bye-Election in Cross River North, it has been from one court to the other. Each of them claiming that they are the rightful candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Even when Stephen Odey was sworn in as the Senator representing Cross River North, many thought the matter was over, but Jarigbe refused to concede defeat. Jarigbe fought the case till he was declared the winner by the Abuja court.

Before this time, the people of Cross River North had complained that if both Jarigbe and Odey cannot allow the case to die so that one person can represent them, both of them should quit and allow a fresh person to take the lead.
But today seems to be a good day for them as they now have hope that they will also join other senatorial districts to enjoy quality representation and good governance.
The record has it that Jarigbe Agom while in the House of Representatives has empowered lots of people and given them grants to do businesses and have a better life. If he carries that same energy to the 9th Senate, the people of Cross River North would appreciate the Senate President for swearing him in.
