Perhaps tired of hiding his association with the Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga, Kirinyaga Senator has finally decided to make a bold move to put the former Prime Minister's photo on his campaign poster.

While speaking to the media on Wednesday, Kibiru who is gunning for the Kirinyaga Governor seat, dismissed claims that they are afraid of campaigning for Raila in the Mount Kenya region for fear of political backlash.

Kibiru is keen to send home Governor Ann Waiguru using the Jubilee Party ticket. Already, he has settled on Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri as his running mate.

While affirming his support for Raila and his running mate, Martha Karua, Kibiru said that, going forward, they will hit the campaign trail pitching for their election by putting their photos on his campaign posters.

The development comes at a time a section of Mount Kenya politicians allied to the Azimio la Umoja political formation have been accused of not campaigning for Raila while also trying to dissociate from him.
