Remembering Minister Danny Nettey; 5 Years On.

It's exactly 5 years today since the Ghanaian gospel industry lost one of its giants, Minister Danny Nettey.

His death left his fans and those associated with him in shock on July 15, 2016 at age 47 at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The late Singer, Songwriter and organist was described as one of the pioneers of contemporary/urban gospel music in Ghana.

Born in Accra where he developed his love for music at a tender age, he became the Music director and also the President of the local Scripture Union Fellowship in Secondary School at Accra Academy.

He started his music career by starting his own group "Danny Nettey and Pals". The group sought to take gospel to Secondary Schools and ministering in churches through the word and song ministration. Danny Nettey had three albums to his credit, namely; "Positive Change", "This Time" and "I believe".

Through his music ministration, he travelled to other countries and ministered on several platforms including performing on stage with Bishop T.D Jakes, Don Moen, Ron Kenoly, Bebe Winans, Kirk Franklin, Lionel Peterson, Israel Houghton, Alvin Slaughter and others.

He impacted and won many over with his spirit filled songs from I Will Worship, Mete Asea, I Believe, My All To You, Yesu Kasa, Praise You and many more. He also mentored/inspired many young gospel talents. Though gone but not forgotten.

May the soul of Minister Danny Nettey continue to find rest.
