The union has been the center of attraction within the country since supporters aligned to Azimio La Umoja are pleased with the duo while supporters linked to Kenya Kwanza Alliance allege that Martha Karua do not have support from Mount Kenya region.

According to professional political analyst Professor Tom Ojenda (Senior Counsel), he said that women who are voting for the first time are excited to vote for Raila Odinga and Martha Karua.

"Female voters voting for the first time are excited by Raila-Martha ticket and that partly explains why the votes have gone higher. Raila will still lead in the coming weeks as things settle", Said Tom Ojenda.

In contrary, Kipruto Kirwa said that a good running mate may end up being a problem. He gave out an example of the current situation between DP Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta.

"A good running mate may end up being a problem eg president Uhuru and Ruto. Running mate should be somebody you can work with for 5 years and not cause any problems", Said Kirwa.
