Reminiscing on the incident, Dr. Hajo Sani, who apart from being the author of the first lady's biography, is also a very close friend to the first family, narrated that the President's son, Yusuf Buhari, sustained a head injury and also a broken limb.

In the publication, Dr. Hajo wrote, "Before the tragic accident that almost claimed his life, the President's son, Yusuf Buhari, was rarely known by the general public, despite being the son of the President."

The author also narrated that Yusuf Buhari, after sustaining a head injury and a broken limb in 2017, was taken to a private hospital in Abuja. But after some weeks, he has flown to Germany for further treatment.

In the book, the author wrote, "Some months after accident, Yusuf's medical condition transformed within few months, It was a clear sign of God's miracle."
