The family of the late Kalembe Ndile is seeking ng to raise 8 million Kenya shillings that is to be used in the burial expenses.
According to the Daily Nation reports the burial expenses is estimated as follows,1.5 million owed to the Nairobi hospital and another 680 000 shillings to be paid to the Lee funeral home.
The planning committee is banking on friends, the business community, political classes including the Deputy president and president Uhuru Kenyatta to fund the burial.
A major harambee will therefore be held in Nairobi city in a bid to help the family to clear all the hospital and mortuary bills and use the rest for his final send off.
Since the politician was also allied to the Wiper Democratic Movement his family had proposed that they honor him by wrapping his casket with the Wiper Party Flag and this might have been one of the things that caused the family to ask for a helping hand in catering for some of the expenses.
