Former Chelsea star makes his return from injury in his team home league three-goal thriller

Former Chelsea football club of England star and Ex-Super Eagles forward, Victor Moses was in action on Thursday night for Spartak Moscow in their 6th game of the Russian premier league against PFC Sochi at the Otkrytiye Arena.

The Nigerian international has been sidelined for couple of weeks ago due to injury which kept him out of action but was able to make his return to the squad as he featured for the Rui Vitoria's side in what was their 6th league game of the season.

Victor Moses started the game from the bench but was introduced in the 56th minutes of the second half for Zelimkhan Bakaev and he was able to impress as he contributed his quota despite his team suffering a narrow defeat.

The first half of the game was such a balanced one as there was nothing to separate the two sides going into the half time break which ended goalless draw.

In the second half of the game, the host opened the scoring sheet in the 60th minutes with a goal from Roman Zobnin to make it one nil before the visitor got levelled with a goal from Maksim Barsov to make it 1-1.

The visitor after some fine displays were able to take the lead as they made it two in the 72nd minutes courtesy of a goal from Artur Yusupov to make it two goals to one.

After every other attempts from both sides to add more to the tally of the night, all were not successful as it ended two goals to one at full time.

Spartak Moscow with the disappointing result of the night now currently sit at the 9th spot on the table with 7 points in 6 games played and as such be hoping to be back to winning ways in their next fixture.
