Accra Hearts of Oak are the current leaders in the Ghana Premier League, after beating Asante Kotoko who are noted as their arch-rivals by 1-0. The game was full of tension as always and produced a thrilling contest in the day.
The phobians were dominant at the early stages of the game as they were eager to get the opener at the end of the first half of the game. Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s defense were at their best and they prevented the attacking prowess of the phobians from operating.
Obeng Junior nearly got the opener for the phobians but his shot was blocked. The game ended 0-0 at the first half. Daniel Afriyie Barnieh got the only goal in the game for the phobians at the 65th minute. After the game head coach for Hearts of Oak, Samuel Boadu stated that his side needs to continue winning and be at their best as always.
