Mr. Francis Tetteh Ohipeni is a Ghanaian born International Oil Palm Agronomist with vast knowledge and appreciable working experience and career practice across the West African sub-region. As a practitioner with notch, he has diligently offered himself for development of Plantations and smallholders aiming towards becoming senior practising agribusiness specialist in Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia and Sierra Leone etc.
He is currently occupies himself with a field management position that offers valuable challenge and great opportunity for growth and promotion of excellence as well as impacting positively on the immediate environment and lives of Plantations and smallholders through community development approach. He has consistently provided agronomic consultancy and backstopping assistance for plantations in Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone and many other mid-scale plantations in Ghana. He is an expert in reclamation of mineral mined lands for the cultivation of oil palm and other tree plants. He is highly competent in plantation development, replanting and field management techniques using best management practices for yield intensification and rspo certification process.
Mr. Francis Tetteh Ohipeni holds Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from the University of Cape Coast and Masters of Business Administration from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology all in Ghana. He is also a member of Chamber of Agribusiness of Ghana (CAG) As an ambitious person he has mastered himself and craft of agronomy through continuous process of learning and upgrade. As part of self advancement programs, Mr. Francis Ohipeni has attended and acquired advance knowledge in agronomy on Yield Intensification at Mars Cocoa Academy in Indonesia, Malaysia Oil Palm Board organised workshops in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Master Trainer for rspo RISS Certificatation, Leaf, Soil Analysis and Fertiliser planning expert, Training on Gender in Mainstream Organisation, RSPO Lead Auditor.
He is a Director for Agro-Masters Technical Consult and currently a senior agronomist with Solidaridad West Africa, Sustainable West Africa Oil Palm Programme who has led a technical team to establish oil palm agroforestry projects in vulnerable climate districts to serve as model farms to mitigate climate change and supervises the entire operations of over 50,000 farmers through provision of technical supports and training independent smallholder farms to attain RSPO certification. He has an extensive working experience and career practice with Twifo Oil Palm Plantation as Assistant Plantation Manager. Mr. Francis Tetteh Ohipeni also worked as Agriculture Co-ordinator with Opportunity Industrialisation Centre. Before OICI, He served as Research Assistant and rose to Harvesting Coordinator at Ayensu Starch Factory in Ghana.
