The Mombasa County gubernatorial race is getting hot each and every new day as more and more pollsters continue to release their predictions.
According to the latest opinion poll results, former Nairobi County governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko is leading in the Mizani Africa results released on Tuesday morning.
Mike Mbuvi Sonko is leading with around 34.6 percent of the total respondents who took time to give their opinion in the opinion polls conducted by Mizani Africa.
"Mike Sonko is taking the Mombasa gubernatorial race by storm. In the latest poll, he is the most popular candidate commanding the lead with 34.6% and has overtaken ODM's AbdulSwamad who has been reigning in previous polls"part of the results reveal.

This cones days after Joho and a section of Coastal leaders from Mombasa and Kilifi counties criticised Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka for allegedly fuelling tribal politics in the region by giving Sonko the party's ticket in the race for Mombasa governorship.
On the other hand, Mike Mbuvi Sonko has underscored that despite assertions by his detractors, he was actually born and raised in the ocean-neigbouring county.
