President Akufo-Addo is gradually winning the title as the most vilified president of the Fourth Republic. The president is expected this week to lead Ghana’s delegation to negotiate a favorable IMF deal for Ghana. The IMF delegation is already in town and a team from Ghana is expected to engage. President today launched a number of projects despite the criticism he is facing in the wake of economic hardships.
The president launched a $10 million grant to support small and medium enterprises SME as they seek recover from the repercussions of the Covid-19. The grant launched will seek support 3 areas of business; Covid relief, SME and site upgrade. After this, the President went on to commission the first batch 45 of 100 Intercity buses. This is expected to boost the transportation system.
Apparently, some Ghanaians are not well with the way the president is frolicking as the ordinary Ghanaian suffer. They feel the president is too little. In a number of comments on the post many expressed their thoughts. Interestingly, one comment queried why the President Akufo-Addo was smiling in the photos taken at the event, in the midst of the economic hardship. Was the president supposed to frown?
