Covid 19 pandemic hit the country early last year at a time when many African countries were not even aware of the disease. The country actually took straighten measures to curb the spread even as the economy was crumbling down. One year down the line the virus has caused worst harm than never seen before. People have died or lost loved ones as others have equally lost jobs and employment opportunities. Some countries are still a no go zone or one has to have a Covid 19 free certificate.

But with all these happenings, the country can at least now smile after today's address by Health Cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe. In the press Kagwe said that the Covid 19 vaccine will be in the country from Tuesday next week and the process of vaccination to start immediately. He also said that those who be given first priority will be doctors and nurses, teachers and police officers before it is rolled out to everyone. The elderly will equally get a dose since they are also a vulnerable group.

Kagwe statement comes just days after Tanzania Magufuli accepted the presence of the disease in his country after a long rejection. He advised his county people to keep praying while eyeing traditional medicine.
