Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and 10 others have pleaded guilty to charges relating to flouting Covid-19 restrictions in a Kiambu Law Court.
They were each fined Sh75,000 each or eight months imprisonment in a forfeit.
The 11 accused appeared on Tuesday before Chief Magistrate Stella Atambo.
"Moses Kuria and co. have been fined 75000 shillings each for flouting The Public Order Act. They pleaded guilty to all five charges and were fined 15000 shillings for each offence or 8 months in jail. 11 were in court and 19 were in custody"-frolence tweets
Photos shared by Moses Kuria showed him at the OB desk at Karuri Police Station alongside some of his supporters. Kenyans news site reported that the meeting was held to discuss the upcoming Juja by-election in which the MP has fronted a candidate on his People Empowerment Party.
