In a religious context, sin is a transgression against divine law. Each culture has its own interpretation of what it means to commit a sin. While sins are generally actions, any thought, word, or act considered immoral, selfish, shameful, harmful, or alienating might be termed "sinful".
The Bible has said in many scriptures in the Bible, that if one ask for the forgiveness of sins, he or she shall be forgiven, be cleansed and purified once again.
1 John 1:9
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
But there is a kind of sin Jesus talked about in the Bible that will never be forgiven upon doing it. ( The unforgivable Sin).
“Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.
“So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven—except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven.
The above scripture talks about the unforgivable sin (which is blaphemy against the Holy spirit), and Jesus said that it can never be forgiven. Jesus said this because of what the scribes and the Pharasees were saying after He made a miracles. They were saying that Jesus did the miracle by the help of an evil hidden powers He had, meaning that Jesus had an evil source of his Powers and strength for making miracles. And Jesus cautioned them that they are comiting a sin that can never be forgiven, because His source of strength and power, were from the Holy spirit, everything He has ever done is by the power of the Holy spirit, so why then do they say He's doing this miracle by the help if an evil powers.

If I were you, I will never talk of these things, because you might not know wether it's from the Holy spirit or not. The Bible says that at the end time, faults prophets will come, indeed we are in the end times, and fake pastors are around, the same way true pastors are also around, so for you not to offend the Holy spirit, just keep quite and observe, don't speak I'll of the things you don't understand.

This means that Jesus being so merciful shall forgive you because you had less or no knowledge about these things, but as you've known now if you go on to blapheme the Holy spirit then it's your own cup of tea. Because of you know what is good and you don't do it, the Bible says is a sin for you.
