A strike by some armed criminals at a fuel station in Akure, Ondo state left one person dead.
Tee-Leo Ikoro, the spokesperson of the state's police said a filling station at Oba-Ile highway of the city was ambushed late at night.
Though the armed robbers did not succeed in stealing from the filling station, the occurrence however led to the commotion with people scurrying for safety.
Two suspects were apprehended not far from the place of the occurrence in relation to the crime, while 2 other suspects who fled are being tracked by the police.
A Dane gun and a rifle with some cartridges, and live projectile were regained from the 2 arrested suspects.
"With the interference of policemen, 2 of the armed criminals have been arrested.
"There has not been such a raid in Ondo State, that is to notify you that the level of corruption in Ondo State is very small, and with this incident, our men instantly swung into action, resulting in the arrest of two of the criminals."
