The National Liquor Traders says all taverns must adhere to all liquor regulations. This comes after the death of 21 teens at a tavern in the Eastern Cape. For more, those are the words of Director of the Southern African Alcohol Policy Alliance in SA, Maurice Smithers.

There are rules in every home, school, community, business or any workplace but this rules or this terms and conditions are never followed and as a result of that people end up losing their lives.

"The National Liquor Traders are just making noise for nothing, you can go around the country they don't adhere to regulations, they care about the money nothing else. Saying people who own tarvens must abide by the law and not do follows ups is a waste of time"

"All Tarvens must be closed and new liquor ID system should be implemented like a banks finger print system so that every udut must go and register a Home affairs so that everyone must pass through the scanning system"
