COVID-19| Bad news about the Omicron Variant has been revealed by a Wits Professor.

Many Professors and scientists have made known to the public that the COVID-19 Omicron variant seems to be less transmissible than the delta variant. This new variant was discovered in South Africa and our country is being like we wronged the world. Instead of praising South Africa, many international countries are closing their doors to South Africans and are prohibiting their people from visiting Southern Africa.
Vaccinologist Prof. Shabir Madhi, of the University of the Witwatersrand has revealed that the latest trajectory of the wave in Gauteng has a much steeper incline than the prior three waves, indicating that it is more transmissible.
"In terms of its severity, we'll have to wait and see. The majority of instances show as a minor sickness, although this is mostly owing to the fact that it begins in the younger age groups, who are less likely to develop a more serious illnesses."
