Parliament has released the latest letter in order to clear some doubts that are heightening because of the rejection of the 2022 budget. In the letter, there was the acknowledgement of the fact that such debates and votes end up with arguments from either side of the house.
"As it is common in all Parliaments, these processes are sometimes characterized by disagreement but usually, the House is able to come to some agreement. The events that have characterized the scrutiny of this particular budget is no exception.". the letter read.
In some parts of the letter, Parliament tried to defend and erase all the suspicions that the Speaker of Parliament, Right Honorable Sumana Bagbin, was biased.
"Parliament will like to assure citizens that allegations of bias are unfounded and should not be entertained".
However, Ghanaians were of a different view.
" His parliament may be one of the worse ones the nation may have if he does not stand to be patriotic than some of this unconscious arrogance he is getting himself into", Nana Appiah Felix wrote.
Moris Mensah thanked the Speaker of Parliament for "saving mother Ghana". Check out other reactions.
