According to Yoruba Nation promoter, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho, suspected herdsmen were successful in storming Igangan town on Sunday due to the lack of solidarity among locals and Ibarapa monarchs.
According to The Nation, Igboho stormed Igangan in Oyo state's Ibarapa North Local Government Area on Monday evening to inspect the level of destruction and sympathize with the locals.
While conversing with Oba Onidio of Idio, Oyo state, Igboho noted in the now-viral video obtained by The Nation that the absence of cooperation among monarchs and villagers in guarding communities enabled the killer herders power to carry out horrible attacks on the community.
He added that following his travels to Igangan, many monarchs in other villages fled for safety after being terrorized by criminal herders.
Igangan village in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State was attacked by suspected herdsmen on Sunday morning. More than ten people were killed in the attack and several houses, including the monarch's palace, were set ablaze.
