Father Ejike Mbaka Apologises Over His Mistakes.

The embattled spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministries, Enugu, Father Ejike Mbaka has apologised for his mistakes.

According to reports by The Cable, Father Mbaka asked for forgiveness for himself and for his followers who went about destroying and breaking glasses at the Bishop's Court.

In a sermon delivered on Sunday, Father Mbaka specifically asked for forgiveness from the Bishop of the Enugu Diocese of the Catholic church for his actions and the actions of his followers which had a negative effect on the church.

"I am here standing and I render my sincere unalloyed apologies to the Holy Catholic church where I belong and I am saying may the mother church forgive us in anyway we didn't do well.....even in all that I said, where I didn't say it well, I pray for forgiveness.....I am on worshippers behalf kneeling down for the church to forgive. "

In his plea for forgiveness, Father Mbaka said he will be the last person that will rise against the church he has been serving for the past 25 years.

"I can't disobey the church. Who am I? How can somebody who has been serving the church for 25 years come out to begin to fight the same church?....every thing in my life is about the church....in all honesty, Father Mbaka here has no problem with the church.....I don't have any problem with my Bishop...."

Attributing the tales surrounding his kidnap saga to communication breakdown and the devil, he said that he was never kidnapped by anyone .

"There was a lot of misinformation. The devil entered the story. The church did not kidnap me....I wish to apologise...the search for Father Mbaka was hijacked; people joined and started breaking things."

It could be recalled that Father Mbaka was embroiled in a contract scandal with the Federal government, who, through its spokesman, accused Father Mbaka of asking for contracts from President Buhari's administration for supporting his re-election.

What do you have to say about Father Mbaka's apology? Do you think he is sincere in his apology for forgiveness? Should the apology be accepted?
