Chelsea defeated Juventus 4 goals to nil on Tuesday to overtake Allegri's side on the group H table.
Chalobah fired Chelsea ahead in the first half, Reece James and Callum Hudson-odoi added the second and third goal and Timo Werner sealed the victory with a late strike from Hakim Ziyech's precise pass.
The London club are currently ranked first in their Group with 12 points, same number of points with Juventus in second position, while Zenit and Malmo FF occupy the third and fourth place.
Thomas Tuchel's men will not be drawn against Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool in the last 16, because they are from the same domestic league.
If the Blues eventually emerge as Group H winners they will be seeded against teams who finish in the second place in other groups and they are likely to face;
RB Salzburg/ Sevilla
FC Porto/Atletico Madrid
Paris Saint Germain
Which of these teams will be very difficult for Chelsea to beat?
