Lauretta Onochie, Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on social media, has justified the removal of Adams Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Onochie was reacting to a statement credited to Oshiomhole, condemning Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti for leading the plot to remove him as party Chairman.

Oshiomhole had said he helped Fayemi secured the party's governorship ticket in 2018 despite the fact that the other aspirants in the race were his close friends.

Oshiomhole had said: "Kayode Fayemi is one of the leading Governors working against me too. I helped him secure party tickets for all his loyalists even though Segun Oni and Babafemi were my very good friends."

Responding to Oshiomhole's claim that he helped Fayemi secured the party's governorship ticket, Onochie said Oshiomhole just confessed to engaging in not only abuse of office but trampling on the APC Constitution.

"Wow! He just confessed to impunity and imposition? As a progressive, a democrat and one with due respect for our APC Constitution and the rule if law, was he not supposed to provide a level playing field for all aspirants? We have a looong way to go."
