Following the heavy complaints from Al Ahly after their recent CAF Champions League final in Morocco, the governing body of African football which is CAF has revised the rule of a single legged final and considered returning back to the old rule of two legged finals.
A "neutral" venue was used to accommodate the teams playing the Champions league final in the one legged final but that ruling was somehow "violated" as this past season's Champions Wydad Casablanca played the final at their home turf, something that made it look like they were playing a home game with home ground advantage.
Hence, the president of CAF Dr Patrice Motsepe has confirmed that they will be going back to the ruling of a two legged final which will see both teams play a home game as well as an away game something that is considered fair for both sides which will be participating in the final.
