A section of Uasin Gishu county youths have decamped from William Ruto to ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi. Speaking to the media, the youths have urged Mudavadi to visit Uasin Gishu county and help them.
"Youths of Uasin Gishu we are now supporting Musalia Mudavadi because we see he has a good track record of development. We don't want tribal politics, we only want development. We are asking our leader Musalia Mudavadi to visit us here in Uasin Gishu." A lady who addressed the media said.
Uasin Gishu county is known to be Ruto's turf. The move by the youths to declare their support for Mudavadi will for sure raise eyebrows.
Mudavadi is Ruto's competitor in the 2022 presidential race. The ANC leader has vowed to succeed Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022 under the One Kenya Alliance.
The DP is rumoured to be crafting his presidential bid under UDA party. He initially hoped to use Jubilee, but party wrangles pushed his camp out.
