Head coach of Real Tamale United, Shaibu Tanko has revealed how he stopped hints, Asante Kotoko in their tracks to claim a 2-1 win in Tamale.
The “Pride of the North” inflicted a painful 2-1 defeat on the league leaders in week 25 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Sunday much to the chagrin of the Porcupine Warriors fans. Shaibu Tank believes his boys executed the tactics better than the Porcupine Warriors on the day.
“Kotoko are a good side by all standard and we are a better side. “We clipped their wings, where they are supposed to play we clipped it. “They couldn’t get anyway to play there, that is the secret,” Tanko Shaibu told StarTimes.
Real Tamale United remain in the danger zone despite the sweet victory over the record Ghana Premier League holders. The premier league returnees sit 15th with 29 points from 25 games of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier league season.
