A man was said to have arrived from abroad and donated his family house to a beach of Christ Embassy, one of the famous New generation churches in Nigeria.
He was said to own about 80% of the money used to build the house which his father as well lived.
This happened in Warri, Delta state.
According to @erobsjohnson who broke the news on twitter, the church was Said to have made moves, using lawyers to evict the occupants after the unnamed member handed over the documents of the house, to the church.
He wrote, "If you attend Christ Embassy fall out this morning let’s fight. Your branch in Warri, accepted someone’s family house papers as seed, now they have sent the family packing with lawyers and even threatening with lawyers and all. What nonsense is this? Despite pleas."
He claimed the church said they intended to sell the property for 25 million naira in order to finance the production of Rhapsody of Reality, a daily devotional published by the church.
"The guy came from abroad and did this after they have most likely brainwashed him. Now they said they want to sell it to print rhapsody of realities? Omo I heard it’s the branch at mufor?? Which kind wickedness is this?"
According to Pararan Mock news, the person had earlier donated his car and another land to the church, saying he was "sowing seed" to invest in the "kingdom of God"
