The legendary Kenyan footballer, Dennis Oguta Oliech alias Dennis the Menance that shared his football journey in a YouTube interview.
He starts by declaring that he was not only talented but also lucky that he was discovered young. He received a Secondary scholarship offer from Kakamega High School, while he was still in class 7. He studied there, left prematurely and finished his A-Levels in Kamukunji high school.
While at Kamukunji High School Oliech had the chance to play for the Harambe stars under 18 team in Egypt.
By the age of 19 years old, the talented footballer was living and professionally playing his beloved game in Qatar. Sadly, he has to wait 3 months before he could play. But it was only when he started playing that the team broke their loosing spell.
After about 2 years of training, The Qatar federation offered him 824 Million to change his citizenship to Qatari and play for the National team. His name was also changed to Ferrhad Massad. Surprisingly, Dennis turned down this offer.
After 3 years playing in Qatar he went on to play professionally in Europe, France. However, he confessed that his biggest mistake was leaving France to play for a team in Dubai.
To date, Oliech confesses that he regrets making the professional move from France to Dubai.
