The 2022 elections are in top gear, with leaders aligning themselves with the most popular alliances, to keep their political careers alive and boost their bargaining power.
Today, news emerged that KANU Chairman Gideon Moi was on the verge of ditching One Kenya Alliance for Raila's camp, less than 14 months to the general elections.
And now top KANU officials have cleared the air on such claims. An official who sought not to be named said that they want to be part of President Uhuru's plans as they have already studied the changes and they have known there to bet in the 2022 elections.
Another official also confided that the most important thing now was to form alliances with sound parties like ODM as they wait for President Uhuru's directions.
Gideon Moi was part of the team that formed One Kenya Alliance, including Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula.
It will be good news to Raila Odinga as he looks to stab on the presidency on his fourth attempt, this time with the support of President Uhuru.
