The commencement of the NNPC-sponsored Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) Gas Pipeline project by leading indigenous EPC giant - OILSERV Limited is the cause for this renewed optimism. OILSERV has been awarded the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of the first segment of the 614 km x 40-Inch Gas pipeline, which is from Ajaokuta to mid-way between Abuja and Kaduna. 

OILSERV has achieved significant progress in a short spate of time including ongoing detailed engineering design, topographical and geotechnical surveys, haulage and stacking of line pipes in preparation to commence construction activities.

The chairman of OILSERV, Eneka Okwuosa is A 1982 graduate of Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Ile-Ife, Emeka Okwuosa is a seasoned engineer, administrator, entrepreneur, and visionary with over 30 years of experience in different areas of engineering. These activities have spanned Europe (France and Scotland), North Africa (Libya), West Africa (Mauritania, Senegal, Côte D’Ivoire, Ghana), Gulf of Guinea/Central Africa (Nigeria, Benin, Cameroon, Gabon, Congo, and Angola), and Indonesia in positions ranging from Field Engineer to Technical Manager. Emeka is the founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Oilserv Ltd, Frazimex Ltd, Frazimex Energy Services Ltd, Frazimex Engineering Ltd, Frazpower Ltd, and Frazoil Ltd. He also hails from oraifite, anambra state. The Chairman, Emeka Okwuosa is said to be worth billions of naira.

The commencement of these massive project goes to show how much Nigeria needs to invest in the private sector. The Akk project is one of the many public private partnership projects that would bring more revenue to the government. It is expected that once the project is completed, it would generate a lot of revenue to the government.
