Martha Karua And Her Team Walk Out of BBI Appeal Case At Supreme Court Citing Two Reasons

Hearing on Building Bridges initiative appeal Case commenced at Supreme Court where the correspondents will give Their submissions and finally the CJ Koome Led Team give Their verdict on 20th January.

Martha Karua and his team walked out of Court chambers after a decision was made to exclude 74th, 75th and 76th Respondents from giving their submission. They told that they should friends of the court rather than respondents.

"We therefore submitted that the supreme court @Kenyajudiciary cannot turn around and lock us out having entertained us as respondents in previously #BBI in any event no litigant or interested party should be locked out of hearing or treated in a discriminatory manner especially in a court of last resort" She Tweeted

The appellant Side through lawyer George oraro Argues that a Popular initiative starts when signatures have been approved by IEBC before proceeding to public participation and therefore it was conducted in line with laws of the land.
