President Kenyatta point man in Parliament Honorable Amos Kimunya is in deep trouble after latest move by the director of public prosecution. From the latest reports, DPP had moved to appeal Court with an aim of overturning the ruling that acquitted Majority leader from 60millions case fraud. It is alleged that, Kimunya together with his business partner allocated 25 hectares of land to a company which belongs to him.
The alleged offence happened in 2005 when Kimunya was working under the ministry of lands. He took advantage of his position and awarded a prime land to himself, which is located in Nyandarua county. The DPP is claiming that, he used his powers wrongly during that time and that he should be jailed and not set free by the courts.
The charges against majority leader were dropped in 2014, after the court claimed that he was not directly linked to the fraud case and that director of public prosecution did not file a strong case against him. Something that DPP is claiming that, the ruling was not fair and he had a strong case against Kipipiri member of Parliament.
