We’re glad we have put smiles on the faces of the fans as we promised and we can win the league

Hearts of Oak are the current leaders of the Ghana Premier League for another successful week after beating Berekum Chelsea by 2-0. They have now opened a two points gap between them and their arch-rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko, who are second on the league log.

Hearts were unbeaten in their last four matches going into the game and were eager to make it five. The phobians took dominance of the game from the start to the ending of the game. They were decent on the ball, accurate in their passes and were composed on and off the ball.

Benjamin Afutu scored the first goal for the rainbow boys at the 16th minute of the game, from a set piece. The phobians pounded a lot of pressure on the visitors as they were eager to make it two and eventually found the net through Kwame Obeng’s shot making it 2-0 before halftime.

Berekum Chelsea came alive at the second half of the game when they created some decent chances but could not find the net. Substitute Patrick Razak added more rhythm to the game for the phobians when he came on. He nearly scored to make the score line 3-0 but he was unlucky.

Berekum Chelsea almost scored at the latter part of the game but the ball went over the cross bar. A lost against hearts means that Berekum Chelsea have won once in their last five matches.
