"Tunateseka" Residents From Mukuru Says As Mike Sonko Sends A Request To President Uhuru Kenyatta

The former Governor of Nairobi, Honorable Mike Mbuvi Sonko has called upon President Uhuru Kenyatta urging him to make the government compensate residents of Mukuru kwa Njenga after the recent demolition.


In the on-going demolitions, the government of Kenya has revealed that they are currently doing this in order to construct a road that will allegedly help in easing the traffic congestion in Nairobi.

While reacting to this incident, one of the residents said that it was so unfortunate that the government opted to do this not caring about where they were going to sleep with their children. 

Giving his statement, the man said that he was shocked after he came back home only to find out that his house had been demolished. In his own words, he revealed that he is yet to know where his wife and children went after the incident. 

"I don't even know where my wife and children are because i was out when this happened. I'm a teacher by profession because in as much as they're doing all this, they needed to tell us where they wanted us to go. This is so unfair if you ask me", he said.

Taking to his twit account to express his concerns and fear over these demolitions, the former governor of Nairobi, Mike Sonko has urged president Uhuru Kenyatta to facilitate the compensation of kenyans adding that it was not okay for the government to do this due to the fact that Alot of innocent kenyans were suffering.
